Yes! An art teacher once said to me: “Don’t run for success, run for talent and success will run behind you.” And ever since I’ve always had it in mind every time I’m working. I find it very meaningful because before finally deciding on what I wanted to do with my life, I thought I had my whole life planned out. Since the first grade I thought it made a lot of sense to become a plastic surgeon, since many of my family members work in the medical field. Read more>>

My favorite quote is, “Life is tough but so are you”. I love this quote and I try to live by it. I think everyone can relate to going through a hard time in life and feeling beaten down. Reminding yourself that its normal to go through struggles in life is so important. I often find that I am that hardest judge on myself. Many of my friends and family have related to me in this sense and I think reminding ourselves that we are tough and we will make it through stronger than before is so important. Read more>>

I have two, actually… The first one is used in the Begin Within Today: A Daily Healing Journal that I created and recently published. It’s Thich Nhat Hanh’s quote, “Breathe! You’re alive.” I believe when we are really stressed out, anxious, down in the dumps, worried, ill, etc., that this quote offers some perspective. The most important thing about living is our breath. If we are breathing, then there is room for gratitude. The second quote is Yung Pueblo’s, “Your healing lifts up the ocean of existence. When you heal we all heal.” Read more>>

Since I was young, my favorite quote has always been “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are” by E.E. Cummings. It has been my everyday mantra and my driver to push myself outside my comfort zone so I could become the women I always wanted to become. This has pushed me to better my career, my relationships, and most importantly, my love for myself. I like that I can look at this quote everyday and it gives me the motivation to do better and be better. Read more>>

“Every step is a step.” This is a mantra I reflect upon often. In processes of both business and life, it is easy to get caught up in how much MORE there is to do. Whenever I notice that the road ahead steals too much of my focus, I find myself feeling frustrated, and lose much of the energy that I NEED to keep moving forward. This is when I reflect on the affirmation, that every step is a step. Sure, there will always be that road in front of us, but once that focus shifts to each step along the process the perception of the journey changes. Read more>>

My favorite quote by Nelson Mandela: I never lose. I either win or learn. The sentence in itself conveys a very positive message: one of forward movement, seeing the good side of things, and being positive! What this quote means to me is to acknowledge what didn’t work and learn from it to win! Read more>>

Karolina Rzadkowolska | Alcohol-Free Life Coach

One of my favorite quotes is by Rachel Hollis: “You’re allowed to want to be your best self, even if THEY don’t understand it.” My company, Euphoric Alcohol-Free, helps otherwise healthy and mindful women transform their relationships with alcohol to live their BEST LIVES. My clients care about their health and personal growth, but feel like drinking is the one incongruency in an otherwise holistic lifestyle. It makes them feel stuck in a loop called detox just to retox. Read more>>

“The world doesn’t benefit from you hiding what makes you a badass”-J Sincero When I first had a dream of launching my own business I was very uncomfortable in my own (professional) skin. I had never left my lane of the classroom and I just didn’t feel like I was ready to jump into something so different. I did a ton of reading and one of my favorite books was “You are a Badass”. There were many quotes that resonated with me in Sincero’s book but that one in particular is one that I have revisited many times since I read it. Read more>>

My affirmation is always be kind to others. It takes so little to be kind and it is a gift you give yourself for after you feel good and so does the other person. I love seeing others happy and smiling and if I can make that happen and its free well its amazing! You always have a choice to be nice, kind or rude and mad. It is the feeling after that you give yourself so I choose to feel good and not bad. They say you get more with honey and I truly believer that and if you are nice and the person is nasty or mean back its not you they are upset with its something they are going though and I just send a prayer for them and hope they have a better day! Something that has had the biggest impact on the mindful parenting technique I use was reading the quote “Make your children adore you” while pregnant. This stuck with me immediately, and has been the driving force behind all of my parenting skills. When I make a mistake (and trust me I make plenty) I am sure to apologize, and explain to my son where I was coming from. I want him to listen to my guidance out of love, and not fear like many of us have been raised to do. He now understands that adults make mistakes, and don’t “know it all” – just like him. “BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU” This is a deeply inspirational quote for me for many reasons. It reinforces that we are all unique beings with the power to think, feel and do anything our minds can imagine. There is a never-ending amount of health, wealth and success to create the life we desire. Instead of following in the footsteps of others or imitating their strengths and talents, try focusing on your own valuable abilities. Everyone has a special gift that can positively impact others. One affirmation that I like to remind myself is, “I welcome challenges as opportunities for growth.” There were times in my life when I questioned my abilities and felt defeated even before I started. I decided that if I am ever to succeed, I had to change my way of thinking. I take into consideration possible challenges in life that can’t be overcome due to certain circumstances, with some people thinking that it’s not worth pursuing. Life is a constant process of learning and making decisions that mold me into the person I am and will be in the future. Read more>>

I love reading daily affirmations, quotes that I can relate to or just get my day going! A few of my favorite; “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none” It’s how I live! I have a small circle of friends that I love and loyalty is extremely important to me. “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”… This one is great! It’s me! I love that you can take life by the horns and still have a sense of humor! Read more>>

Patty Tolentino | Makeup Artist

My favorite affirmation to say before I create some magic is “I am aware of my abilities to create art. I am greater than than my critiques”. I am my own worst critic sometimes since I always aim for 100% perfection. This affirmation allows me to gain confidence in my skills and creativity before I start the makeup application. It helps me focus on my purpose, which is to enhance beauty and create art. I took a long break from makeup artistry, so when I began to book clients again my confidence was really low. Read more>>

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” I read this quote by e.e. cummings often. It reminds me the road back to ourselves isn’t always easy, but with courage and understanding, we find our way. When I get lost, this is a reassuring thing to hear. Read more>>

An affirmation I use comes from my maternal grandfather, “In All The World”. When faced with a challenge of being told no. He would reply with “In All The World”. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you want to go somewhere you like, but no one else wants to go, go by yourself. You’ll meet people with similar interest as you.” This quote was so meaningful to me! Last year in January 2019 I won one ticket from @Kristin_Reveles giveaway to attend @femlatina conference here in San Diego. True believer in that the universe puts you in places you are meant to be in! I was so hesitant to go by myself, but this quote above inspired me to attend a life changing conference where I met a lot of women who I had so much in common with. Read more>>
