We had the good fortune of connecting with Molli Vitta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Molli, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Since I was young, my favorite quote has always been “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are” by E.E. Cummings. It has been my everyday mantra and my driver to push myself outside my comfort zone so I could become the women I always wanted to become. This has pushed me to better my career, my relationships, and most importantly, my love for myself. I like that I can look at this quote everyday and it gives me the motivation to do better and be better.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started Ardor West when I realized I needed to find a way to incorporate positive messaging into my everyday life. I needed something that would stick while being easily accessible. I am someone who has always struggled with stress, anxiety, and the not so fun thoughts but one thing that has always helped me is my mantras. Whether I need some positive messaging to kickstart my morning or a friendly reminder to turn to gratitude when facing anxiety, these words help me embrace the best vibes and I have ultimately discovered how much I love wearing them. When I made this realization, Ardor West was born. What has worked best for me are the small market events. You get to be in front of the customer and introduce someone entirely new to your brand. It hasn’t been an easy road for me but I am finally seeing some traction in my business after continuing to do these markets. You gotta just keep pushing and it will eventually pay off. You cannot get discouraged either. One market you might do okay and the next market you could absolutely kill it. Consistent hustle and a positive attitude is key. I’ve learned that social media is everything in a small business. Instagram is a visual representation of your brand and it has to be eye catching in order capture someone’s attention. That is where the customer is shopping now. They are looking for brands on social media platforms so you have to constantly be on it when it comes to your social channels. I want the world to know that my brand is about making people feel good in what they wear. When you feel good your attitude shifts. I am a firm believer in wearing your vibes and Ardor West does just that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them for a hike in the morning near the water, maybe El Moro Trail in Laguna Beach. Afterwards we would get brunch and coffee at Zinc in downtown Laguna. Then, we would head to the beach of course! There are so many amazing beaches in Orange County you can’t go wrong with any of them. I would choose Crystal Cover and end the day with awesome Mexican food and drinks at Javiers while watching the sunset.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The biggest shoutout in my story with Ardor West is my family. My sisters and parents have all ran their own businesses and have been my best teachers/cheerleaders through all of this. They push me, encourage me, and teach me about this small business of mine everyday.
