We had the good fortune of connecting with Michel J. Sisneros and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michel J., as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
My children’s life has had many changes, they went from having a father/mom household to single mom scenario at a young age and afterwards to having a stepdad. I only wish they learned that we grow stronger with hardship, that things never stay the same and we can move on.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an administrative professional with +10 years of customer service experience, began in Tijuana and have worked at different industries. When I moved to San Diego (2016) I awaited the required time before re-starting the work part of my life. Currently I am a data analyst (Capital) for a defense contractor. As a Mexican immigrant, I am very proud of where I am, I’ve learned to listen & learn and never apologize… no question is dumb!! To not be afraid to speak up and always make connections, you never know when you will run into that person again!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am lucky enough to live in an amazing city!! I would totally do a walking tour of Balboa Park, yummy food at North Park (w/amazing craft beer), explore one of many farmer’s market (my fave is Hillcrest), burn the food with a couple of hikes (Torrey Pines, Potato Chip Rock) and keep an eye out for events around the waterfront.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Se regalan dudas! It’s a Mexican podcast that has been life changing for me!!
