We had the good fortune of connecting with Karolina Rzadkowolska and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Karolina, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One of my favorite quotes is by Rachel Hollis: “You’re allowed to want to be your best self, even if THEY don’t understand it.” My company, Euphoric Alcohol-Free, helps otherwise healthy and mindful women transform their relationships with alcohol to live their BEST LIVES. My clients care about their health and personal growth, but feel like drinking is the one incongruency in an otherwise holistic lifestyle. It makes them feel stuck in a loop called detox just to retox. You know, healthy during the week. Unhealthy each weekend. Exploring an alcohol-free life is the next big wellness revolution. Even a short break from alcohol, as little as four weeks, has been proven to offer drastic health benefits—from lowered cholesterol, blood pressure, and even cancer markers, to improved liver health, gray matter growth, and neuron regeneration. If the benefits of alcohol-free life were sold in a pill, pharmaceutical companies would make billions. And yet, changing your relationship with alcohol is such a taboo topic. Think about it . . . if I were to quit or cut back on my sugar intake, or fast food, or start working out more, would anyone accuse me of having a “problem?” And yet, this very fear keeps so many people stuck in a habit that is not making them ultimately happy. Worrying about what other people will think is the fastest way to live a life of regrets. Exploring alcohol-free living bucks the norms of our society. Often times, people won’t understand it. But we would never let someone give us a hard time about what we eat, so why do we let people do it around what we choose or choose not to drink? This isn’t high school anymore. If you’re ready to change any part of your life that isn’t serving you, you don’t need anyone’s permission. You don’t need the people around you to understand. You’re allowed to go after your biggest, boldest, healthiest self, even if other people don’t get it. It’s brave.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a certified life and transformation coach, online educator, and podcaster/blogger who has worked with thousands of clients through my online courses, coaching, and community. My company, Euphoric Alcohol-Free, is a space for the “sober curious” to re-evaluate the role of alcohol in their lives and discover their best selves without it. My work is poised on happiness, personal development, and growth beyond an unhealthy pattern to completely uplevel your life. With a mix of neuroscience, NLP, personal development, and psychology, my programs are empowering and urge clients to discover a happier and more fulfilling life as the best way to institute impactful change. Drinking becomes a side note when you’re busy building the life of your dreams. Not drinking is about wellness, achieving life goals, and personal growth and applicable to anyone who desires change. I’m so lucky to get to coach the most badass and soulful women who know they want more out of life than a hangover and are ready to push themselves outside their comfort zones. Growing this business has been the greatest exercise in personal growth for me and it’s brought me so much fulfillment.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting San Diego, I would start the morning at my favorite stroll in town, Bessemer Path in Point Loma. Next, we’d definitely go to the farmer’s market in Little Italy and grab a nice lunch. Some day trips we’d have to do include visiting Tijuana or Ensenada, going on the Sunset Hike in Mt. Laguna, and going to Julian. My favorite daytime activities include: strolling Old Town, visiting the La Jolla Cove, shopping in North Park, going to the organ show in Balboa Park, and visiting Downtown and Coronado. My favorite restaurants that are not to be missed are City Tacos, Trust, Kikos Seafood Truck, Cucina Sorella, Tofu House, and Tajima.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to San Diego Recovering Women’s Social Club, where I met my bestie Danielle. Today we host a podcast called Euphoric the Podcast, which explores how amazing life is without alcohol. We share how much health, happiness, and productivity is found in a life without hangovers and the tips you need to ditch booze or take a break. San Diego Recovering Women’s Social Club is a monthly alcohol-free women’s meetup in San Diego! They plan brunches, mocktail hours, hikes, yoga, and book clubs!
