We had the good fortune of connecting with Regina Hayes Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Regina, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me the happiest is my family. I believe that having a strong foundation drives me and pushes me to be successful in every aspect of my life. My whole life I have been backed by the strongest women and now I have an incredibly kind husband who holds me up when I need it. My family is my world and they make me happy to know I have people on my team who genuinely want the best for me. That kind of comfort and foundation has shaped me into who I am, keeps me motivated, and extremely happy.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This.x.That is a business that truly does it all, creatively. We take photos, style events, sell macrame wall hangings, and so much more. The name really represents the business because we truly do a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I knew I wanted a business that I could grow in and just be creative with. I have learned copious amounts of information on running a business and how to succeed in it, that being is consistency. I want the world to know that to be successful doesn’t mean you get rich off an idea, it means you bring an idea to life and you invest your time and some energy into it and share it with other people. That to me is truly successful, bringing your idea to life to share with the world, your way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city these days vary. For date night, I love going to Louisiana Purchase! The food is amazing, the drink is amazing, and the atmosphere is divine. I find myself hanging out in Bird Park on Upas a lot where I paint, relax, or read. Other food spots I’m really into right now are Taco Stand in North Park, One Dior North, Javiers in La Jolla, and The Station in South Park. All different vibes but, if I was on vacation I’d want a little of all those places for the good food and/or for the aesthetics. In my view, San Diego is beautiful for several reasons but I believe everyone should go to Marine Street to enjoy a beach day, try at least one of the amazing restaurants I’ve mentioned, and explore Balboa Park! That is a solid week trip in San Diego!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my husband David Pacheco Jr. He is first to say, “let’s do it!” whenever I get an idea for business. He supports me when my ideas may seem radical and he pushes me when I start to self doubt. He’s more than just my husband he is also my business partner so, he really plays a huge role in our success. I want to shout out to him, this business is nothing without his love, support, and encouragements.
