We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Venegas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I deeply respect and admire the work of Mexican artisans. I find their talent fascinating. I want to celebrate them and support them. While at the same time empower women to embrace their bodies, love themselves and never give up. I believe I have created the perfect intersection with Mexicana Beauties.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud of my brand, of being part of this Mexican American all inclusive culture. I have found a group of small business owners that I might not know by name or maybe even personally, but I recognize their business and their hustle. I am very proud of my community, the young Latinx community who is making a difference in the world.
The biggest struggle for my business has been exposure. Although I might not be the most successful business of the bunch I really enjoy what I do. I enjoy designing T-shirts with inspiring messages. Women have really come together to support one and other, instead of criticize and shame and I am excited to be part of this change.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would have to shout out my husband by supporting all my crazy, my business ventures and million projects. Although he often tells me to slow down & take one thing at the time he is my number one supporter. I am a brand ambassador for boudoir ego, and not only did he cheer me on but he would share my boudoir posts in his social media.
My parents who love me unconditionally and have always always encourage me to dream big.
Lastly Mrs. Ana Johnson from Ego. The work she does to empower women, to make us feel beautiful in our skin it’s amazing.
