Risk taking: how do you think about risk, what role has taking risks played in your life/career? As a 5’1” former American Ninja Warrior and volleyball player at Penn State, I’ve always gravitated towards taking personal risks. Risk taking started naturally as the only female Little League player at age 11. Not everyone in the system was supportive, so I learned to believe in myself. I listened and learned as much as I could from my coaches, consistently practiced mindful skills-based drills, and didn’t worry about what others thought or said to me if they weren’t trying to help me. Without risk there is no success, even if you fail, you still gain a learning experience. Thats why risk is so important, we don’t t evolve and grow without taking risks. As far as my life and career, risk has played a big role, all the way back to my first job when I initially bought my first equipment instead of paying my bills. To most recently during my DJ sets. I could always play a safe set or do I push mine and my audiences boundaries and throw them something completely random. They hear something they would never expect and suddenly they get into it. You open the audience up to possibilities. You will be remembered because not everyone is willing to step out of their comfort zone. So take that risk, find your passion, pursue it, break out of your shell and do what you love. Read more>>

No risk, no reward! It’s a cliche, but true. Risk is scary, but a calculated risk is much different than “ready, fire, aim.” Starting a business is a risk, but if you research, plan, and understand what is involved, you will be much more prepared for what may occur. But, watch out for analysis paralysis! You will not account for everything, so be ready to make mistakes. Learn from them and move on.
