We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Albrecht and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is integrity. Doing the right thing every time, no matter how hard that is or the consequences that come with that choice. This has allowed me to have a clear line in the sand that I know I won’t cross which makes decision making easier and allows me to sleep well at night.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Many small business owners worry about paying too much in taxes. Financial Accounting Services has a team of tax experts to help you navigate your finances so you’re never in the dark again. We understand the struggles of owning a business. Usually your own finances, tax and retirement planning comes last, we can help with that. Our goal is to eradicate entrepreneurial poverty. I got to where I am today by having an amazing team and fantastic clients. Fred Karma and I have dedicated our time to develop our company culture and make sure we have only A players giving it their all. It is never easy being a business owner. There are challenges every day; it is about pressing ahead, doing the right thing when no one is looking and taking care of your team. Putting their needs ahead of yours.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I had to put together a week long agenda it would be full of action packed adventure with a bit of relaxation in it. Day one we would take our boat out to Mission Bay and have a day on the ocean, with snorkeling and fishing. We would spend the next few days hiking at Torrey Pines, surfing and cave kayaking at La Jolla and would end the week out in Temecula wine tasting. I really enjoy South Coast Winery and it’s day spa, it is so peaceful. The newest gem I have found in Temecula is a bed and breakfast, a place called The Vine House. It is beautiful and after a day of sipping wine it is the go to place to relax and lay your head.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a lot of people who have helped me get to where I am in life but four people in particular who deserves a shout out. 1. Dave Ramsey, his business mentorship and financial guidance has helped mold me to the person I am today. He not only taught me how to be a great leader but a smart entrepreneur. 2. Fred Karma, my business partner, he gave me a fighting chance and took a risk in hiring me 19 years ago. At that time I was a 20 year old single mom who was a cage fighter. He saw something special, something not many other people saw, and took me under his wing. 3. Uncle Terry took me in when I was 13 and introduced me to God’s love. 4. Jami McNees, she is my biggest cheerleader, when times get tough she allows me to complain for 2 min then tells me to put on my big girl pants and get back out there.
