Meet Mirela Sabanovic Lewis | Co-Founder of Fandory Factory and Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mirela Sabanovic Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mirela, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Thought process behind starting my own business is creating something for working parents, like myself a place that would allow them to work while still being close to their child. I created the Fandory Factory out of my own necessity of wanting to spend as much time with my children as possible while still working on my career.

What should our readers know about your business?
Fandory Factory is family friendly cowork space with a town themed indoor playground for kids to play while the parents work out of one of the offices on site. Fandory Factory is a women owned business, me and my sister Aldisa. As a parent and business owner I understand the struggles of balancing home and work. That’s why we have created a space like Fandory Factory to help parents balance the two. We are creating a networking community for Freelancers – Part-timers – Work from Homers – Moms & Dads & their Kids. We’re very proud of being the first family friendly cowork space in San Diego and that we’re able to offer such space for parents in San Diego. Opening a new business in the midst of a pandemic made it extremely hard but we’re working even harder to let people know that we’re here and that it’s possible to have a successful business/career while still spending time with your kids. And that there is a place they can go to achieve both.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Of course I would take them to Fandory Factory first to check out the amazing town themed indoor playground and all the offices. Definitely few beach trips, La Jolla cove and Coronado. As for the places to eat Georges at the cove and the Living Room in La Jolla, Moo Icecream in Coronado. Love visiting zoo and wild animal park.

My shout out goes to my husband for supporting me in all of my ventures and always being there for me.
