We had the good fortune of connecting with Majo Seaman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Majo, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
To be honest, what has helped me succeed is the fact that I’m constant and I try to create original content that can be differentiated from the rest. I try to show the most real and authentic version of myself so people can feel identified, this without never loosing the style and aesthetic image I like to maintain. Another important habit is that I always try to network with other people who are dedicated to the same, support them and thus study the following trends to always be up to date.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think that I still have a long path and way to go but that’s exactly what excites me the most about what I’m creating. Getting to the point where I am right now has been easy because, to be honest, I was not expecting my Instagram blog to grow as it is right now. I just started for fun and always having in mind that this should just be something I should enjoy and learn good things from it. I have learned that I shouldn’t take anything personal, who likes you and what you do will follow and that in this environment it is better to push each other to achieve our common goals.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a person who lives in Mexico and the USA, I have to say that I’m constantly discovering the best of both worlds. For starters, San Diego has the best beaches and the nicest weather, I love to spend time there just getting a tan with my friends and eating something super simple as Açaí from “Parakeet Cafe” in Coronado and then dine at “The Henry”. In Tijuana, Mexico, there is a new coffee place every week, I love to visit these shops and order cold matcha. During the weekends there are super good options for brunch and mimosas, such as “Citron” or “Mantequilla”.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Although nowadays there are endless fashion bloggers, I must say that my inspiration has always been Paola Alberdi from Blank Itinerary, I identify with her for being Mexican American (as I am). In addition to this, I thank my family for trying to understand what I do and supporting me at all times.
