We had the good fortune of connecting with Israel Palacio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Israel, what matters most to you?
Love Active compassion arises naturally out of unconditional Love. Sometimes it feels hard to tap to that frequency but when you catch your breath and focus on the present moment, you can see the good in people, and then expressive kindness spontaneously arises from your heart. Giving peace and happiness to all, something I believe in and aim to live every day also when there is Love, fear cannot exist. We need that more than ever.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What you are most proud of or excited about? I am super excited to get to know people who are trying to make a difference with their brand or work. I love to make videos that support their vision and tell stories that can create an inspiring or positive feeling. I believe in supporting small brands that are still in contact with their values and put all their heart into their work. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? Definitely not easy, being part of 2 other businesses and deciding to pursue my passion of photography and filmmaking requires a lot of work, long night of editing, support from my family, patience, money, and character to not compare myself with other creatives, on the contrary, embrace their art as well so we can all grow and get better. What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? Trust your intuition, sounds cheesy but is so true. Be kind and pay attention to your surroundings, we are here to bring solutions and work as a team. Surround yourself with people who love what they do because you will find inspiration through them. Begin to value the time and effort that you put to your work and ideas will come to tell your story. I would love to tell the world that creativity is within all of us, the moment you start believing in yourself you will unconsciously inspire others to do the same.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
here it goes. 6:30 am Run in downtown and hit the stairs or go for a hike! 9:00 Morning Coffee! 2 spots that will blow your mind! Pop Pie & Yipao Coffee (probably flip a coin to see to which one to go or if my friend is feeling it get 2 coffees and they are very close to each other) 10:00 Go to Breath Degrees and get a good breathing session in (for sure changes your day and the exposure to the cold is just magical) The orange juice after the breathwork mind-blowing Have a snack and then go paddleboarding at the bay (this is something I’m always wanting to do or go swim at the ocean) Places to eat! wow, will be hard to choose, but here are some of my favorites, Grains Cafe, The Village, Spoiled Vegans, or Grab a Pie at Pop Pie and why not an ice cream from Stella Jeans and your welcome! (I can eat a lot so probably a combination of all of those will be interesting)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
