We had the good fortune of connecting with Daisy Campos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daisy, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you can give to someone.
I love helping everyBODY gain their confidence, and learn about self love. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and love their bodies for what they are. A lot of us are use to comparing ourselves to others on a daily. I want to remind people that we are all unique and beautiful !
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been told people recognize my shots without knowing i took them because my images are very colorful which says a lot about my personality! i have a very bubbly personality i love vibrancy in my shots! I have been shooting for 4 years now and it has been a lot of trial and error! definitely a lot of work but it has been such a wild ride. Most of my close friends today, i have met through my photography. Recently, my husband started doing videos for my boudoir shoots and we have been learning together hoping i become full time in the near future. My biggest thing is helping people overcome their fears, stop comparing themselves to others and learn to love their bodies! I have always struggled with self love. I had to have a few of my own boudoir shoots in order to learn about self love before trying to help others overcome their fears.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to eat! so definitely the first place i would take them to is my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Diego which is Cotijas! A nice hike that leads to the beach would be the next stop where we can relax and catch up. After a few hours at the beach, I would take them shopping and maybe buy a few outfits for a possible shoot with me to take those memories home with them.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thankfully, I have had support from friends and family from the start. The person who has pushed me, motivates me and is my biggest fan is my husband. I am blessed to have such an amazing partner by my side who believes in me and doesn’t believe any dream is too big! Thanks to him believing in me and constantly pushing me, i am where i am today, looking to go full time with my photography.
