We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Arnold and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor to my success is my will to not Give up. There’s an 85% drop out rate in the Real Estate Industry and I refuse to add to that figure. I enjoy what I do everyday. Theres no day like the other. One day you’re showing beautiful homes in the city with awesome new clients, then the next you’re running out of gas because you’re slammed with appointment’s and didn’t have time to re-fuel lol. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I enjoy the different style of homes San Diego has to offer. The interior Design and architectural work keep the clients and I entertained. I’ve been wanting to start my real estate career since I was in high school and I got the chance to start in America’s finest city, San Diego.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from others in this business is I have a more modern/casual approach to being your real estate advisor. A pressure and intimidation free experience. Im an easily approachable person and love to make friends and meet new people. You’re not just a transaction or number to me. I see all my clients as friends and help each one make their biggest decisions as such. I specialize in helping first time home buyers and I see how it could be scary and cause a bit of stress. I mean, it is the biggest financial decision of your life. My goal is to make your home buying process a fun and stress free experience. I like to say I’m available 25/8 for my clients lol.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the referrals of my past clients. My business is mostly made up of referrals and families that run into my online profile and read my reviews. Client experience is my number 1 priority and that’s what drives my business.
Starting a real estate career wasn’t easy. At first I believed that it was going to be easy and it was just like the show “Million dollar Listing” haha. Those shows and a lot of agents only show the glam of the business. There’s a lot that goes into a real estate transaction and there are many moving parts during the purchase process. In the beginning I was glad to have a mentor Liz Garcia that was nothing less than amazing and literally held my hand along the way. To the point where I even felt bad calling her so much lol. But after the learning experiences and multiple transactions, I’m glad to say Im ready for whatever any transaction brings my way.
Some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way are to always be transparent of what may happen during a real estate purchase. It’s always best to properly educate your clients and make sure you’re ready for any bumps along the way as a team.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I could plan a week for a friend that was visiting San Diego I’d take them to a few restaurants and breweries. I love to try new restaurant’s and wash it down with some local beer lol. Starting Monday we’d probably head over to Fort and Oak in mission hills for their happy hour oysters. Tuesday we’d hit Puesto in La Jolla for taco Tuesday and catch some nice views. Maybe have a mid week flight at Ballast point in little Italy and then the more touristy things that San Diego has to offer towards the weekend. Such things as Balboa Park and the museums, Torrey Pines for an east hike and amazing views, and finish it off with a beach day on a Sunday. Belmont park has really cool restaurants and attractions now.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I believe the main reason for my success in Real Estate is the support of my family, friends, clients and the people in my professional circle. Without their encouragement and support I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’d like to thank them all for the ongoing encouragement, happiness for my success and wishing me a bright career. You have to have positive people in your life to cheer for you.
