We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My mantra is, “HAVE A POSITIVE DAY ON PURPOSE.!!!” It’s a choice. Despite life’s circumstances, I have chosen to live each moment, seeking the positive until I’ve reached the next moment after that.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our organization advocates for children’s rights all over the globe. Especially those who are or have been victims of sex trafficking. My 16 yr old daughter was a victim of sex trafficking & murdered May 2020. We are set out to not only shed light on sex trafficking, but also stop this heinous organization at the root. Starting this organization is not easy. We are honestly still in the Infant stages of our organization. But we are still moving up and forward. There are going to be challenges. The important thing for us is proper education of the field we are in, making sure all the legalities are in place, and not give up. There are always naysayers. Ignore them and push towards your goal.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m more pescatarian so I look for spots that have both a seafood/vegan menu available. A spot I love is the Spacebar Cafe & Wine Bistro in La Mesa. They even have smoothies. San Diego zoo is a must see while here but after I hit up the scenic spots downtown SD, I drive to Los Angeles. From there I’m going to Slauson, Crenshaw, South Central, Hollywood, Etc. I recently visited a cousin there and went to Nipsey Hussle Square. I also love traveling the old coastal route to Los Angeles and dropping by SantaMonica pier

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My daughter was murdered in May of 2020. There were a handful of people that have been there consistently for me. I want to s/o Brianna Benyard from “Paint Me SD.” Andrea Flores, Melissa Woods, Willie Johnson from “God’s Creations,” and more… without their support, The “Anaiah Walker Foundation” would not even still be moving.
