Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jacob Williams again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Jacob, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
As a PGA Associate and the founder of Golf Upgrades LLC in San Diego, CA, I specialize in personalized golf coaching that caters to each player’s unique strengths and goals. My philosophy blends time-tested techniques with innovative tools such as swing analysis and biomechanics, ensuring that every golfer I work with has the opportunity to elevate their game in a fun and engaging way.

My journey from competitive golf to coaching has been fueled by a deep passion for helping others reach their full potential on the course. By incorporating cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with industry leaders, I strive to deliver lessons that are not only transformative but also enjoyable for golfers of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner discovering the game or an experienced player seeking a competitive edge, I’m here to empower you to play your best.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since we last connected, it’s been a period of incredible growth and transformation for both myself and Golf Upgrades LLC. Among the highlights of this journey has been my involvement with the PGA Jr. League, where we’ve had the honor of coaching over 50 talented young players this year. Witnessing their development—both in technical skills and their love for the game—has been truly inspiring. Their teamwork, growth, and passion on the course are constant reminders of why I chose this path in the first place.

Another milestone has been the launch of our new indoor golf studio, a dream that has become a reality. This state-of-the-art facility features cutting-edge technology, including simulators and launch monitors, allowing us to deliver year-round instruction regardless of the weather. More than just a training space, it’s a hub of innovation, where golfers of all levels can refine their game in a dynamic and supportive environment. The feedback from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the impact this space is already making.

On a personal note, I’ve taken on a new challenge by stepping back into competitive play, preparing for local tournaments once again. Balancing my own game with coaching has been invigorating—it reconnects me with the competitive mindset and reinforces my ability to relate to the experiences of the players I coach. It’s a fulfilling reminder of the passion that drives me every day.

Of course, growth doesn’t come without challenges. Managing the demands of a thriving business, staying ahead of industry trends, and ensuring that we consistently deliver excellence requires adaptability and focus. Yet, these hurdles pale in comparison to the rewards of watching young players thrive, fostering innovation in the game, and reigniting my own competitive spirit.

This journey is far from over, and I’m excited to see where the next chapter takes us. To everyone who has been a part of this adventure, thank you for your support!
