Artists and creatives face innumerable challenges given that their career path often doesn’t come with a playbook, a steady paycheck or any form of safety net. It’s definitely not easy and so we asked a few of the artists and creatives we admire to talk to us about why they chose to pursue an artistic or creative career.
Jack Taylor | Creative Director & Visual Storyteller
I pursued an artistic and creative career because my journey through the wedding industry opened my eyes to where my true passion lies. Initially, I was deeply involved in different aspects of weddings—performing in bands and cooking for wedding receptions, thanks to my backgrounds in music performance and culinary arts. Over time, after attending hundreds of weddings and experiencing my own, I realized I was always drawn to capturing the moment. With a camera in hand, I found myself captivated by the magic and emotion of wedding days. Read more>>

Taking pictures has always been something I’ve enjoyed doing. No matter where or on what I would take pictures of the sky, my family, friends, animals, myself, etc! It made me happy because I loved keeping all my memories by taking pictures. My sister is also a photographer I grew up watching her do what she does best. Phillyblunts | Musician & Actor
I grew up around music from being around my great grandmother and my mom. I loved to dance and even be apart of plays. I was in music classes in my younger years as well as drama class growing up which made me really like acting. When it came to group presentations I was always the one to talk for the group and enjoyed making the class laugh during our presentations. I loved being creative whether it was building things with my own hands like puzzles, household needs, and even model cars and planes. Creating music and videos was something I did with my sister growing up in the house and as I got older I took it to the next step, and we are here today. Read more>>
Jingyao Wang | Fashion Model & Modeling Coach & Director
Hey, this is Jing and I’m a model based in Los Angeles. The reason I started modeling is quite simple—it has always been my dream. I believe every piece of clothing or artwork has its soul, and I find joy in discovering that soul and expressing it silently in front of the camera, using myself as a medium. Pursuing a career where I can bring ideas to life and connect with others through visual storytelling felt like a natural path. Therefore, my work always reflects my inner passion and strives to showcase diversity, break traditional boundaries, better represent inclusivity, and inspire others in the process. Read more>>
