So many of the folks we work with have multidimensional stories. They often aren’t just working on a single project, business or mission – instead they are often involved in so many things all at once and so we often wonder about what they themselves hope their legacy will be about. As a small business I would want to be remembered by the fact that I was able to create some positive change in an industry that has historically had a bad reputation when it comes to its environmental footprint. I’d like to think that by creating sustainable eco-friendly jewelry and ceramics, while also giving back to and supporting other small businesses that have similar values, others will be inspired to make more environmentally friendly changes as well. I would like people to remember me by my creations. I believe the best way I have been able to express who I am at the core is with the art I create and am drawn to. When I first began creating, I was unaware that my art had any type of meaning towards who I am as a person however as I began sharing my art with others, my viewers would try to make sense of what my art could mean. From this I was shocked at how accurately people were able to describe what I have felt and experienced with little understanding of who I am personally. I realized that there are themes that remain constant and subconsciously my inner voice will always be expressing my thoughts and emotions. There is much importance on focusing on the things that people are simply guided towards that really make up their soul.
