We had the good fortune of connecting with Daygo Smoove and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daygo, how do you think about risk?
I believe taking risk is essential to achieve true success. It’s overcoming the illusion of fear. Falling in love with the unknown, and embracing the change no matter what. As far as the role it plays in my career it is part of how I adapt and stay relevant. It’s the business and entrepreneurs who innovate in the face of adversity who end up on top. Everyone said it was a risk to invest in bitcoin, but look at where we are today. When it comes to my life peep the knowledge. I took risk when I needed to, I knew what I was getting into. You have to be sure of yourself and know whatever choice you make you gotta live with. I’ve taken risk good or bad, its the pros and cons you gotta weigh out. Life is about choices y’all choose wisely.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To answer your first question, I believe it boils down to nothing but effort. It’s the attention to detail and Dre (Dr.Dre) like work ethic that sets me apart from most. I’ve been blessed to take knowledge from some of the best in this business. It’s those lessons I use to my advantage. None of this was an easy road. I had many nights and moments where I thought It was over and couldn’t shake the feeling of potential failure. Sometimes it did and I had to start over. It was what I did in those moments that defined me. This attitude I carried into creation of my brand.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First off for all my out of town people San Diego is KING of Mexican food end of discussion. We are hitting the taco shops for sure. If you have a passport we can go to Mexico. Tijuana has always been the spot but there is more to Mexico than that see where San Diego gets its flavor. Our downtown scene is always lit. Get a table at Phantom or F6ix. In my opinion, we should have more hip hop clubs in SD. Our restaurants are top notch from Nobu to Miguels or Steak and lobster we have it all. A few spots that are golden to us is the imperial fish market or “you buy we fry”. Rhythms Chicken and Waffles one of the many business that are cornerstones in my district.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
