Bailey Rogers, Jordan Marrone, and Marcel Reyes-Vermillion | Event Curators, Record Label Heads, DJ’s

Marcel: Flowers are always a symbol of joy. They are an expression of beauty and life from the Earth itself. So we base our philosophy on the idea of a bouquet: a gift of music, dance, and joy, to someone we love. We want our Bouquet. events to be a unifying place for the dance community, the queer community, and the underground music scene. We were inspired by our own positive experiences attending other parties and clubbing around the world, and witnessing the extremely unifying impact that gathering around music and dance can have across a diverse group of individuals. We strive to create a safe space on our dancefloor, for people from all walks of life to feel appreciated, seen, and celebrated – simply for existing, and for making time in their lives to join in the dance and support one another as human beings. Specifically, our mission to make a safe space for queer people of color, that mission comes from a very authentic place. Read more>>

John Eppstein | John’s Automotive Care

We have a positive impact on our community every day. Our customers rely on us to help them manage their automobiles which they use for things like going to work, running family errands as well as all the community service that they do. We not only keep their vehicles on the road, but we help them with anything that they ask us for. When the pandemic started, we offered free disinfectant, toilet paper, gloves and masks to anyone who needed them. These are just a few examples of what we do for our customers. We also work with many nonprofits throughout our community. Becoming a board member of The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County was the first step back in 1998 that we took toward working within our community. We support a couple different events put on by the club every year and we also run a vehicle donation program where 100% of the proceeds go to the club. Read more>>

It can inspire the reader to ask the question, ‘What if?’ and from there that’s when possibility and creativity takeover and have a waterfall effect on all parts of someone’s life. Read more>>

Robin Tan | Food Influencer

I know that almost all restaurants have taken a huge hit over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I have been trying to help local restaurants in the San Diego area by promoting their businesses. It breaks my heart every time I hear about another restaurant shutting down because I know that restaurant could have been someone’s lifelong dream or passion that they invested all their heart and soul in. It has also been an extremely tough year for everyone, not just those in the restaurant industry, given the departure from normalcy and stresses of dealing with the pandemic. For myself, food has been a source of joy during the past year when it seems like there are so few things to look forward to, and I hope that by sharing some of my favorite restaurants, cuisines and dishes that it has also helped others find some joy in the middle of all the craziness that has been happening.
