We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivian Ferraz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vivian, what makes you happy? Why?
I believe that happiness comes from within, and it does not depend on the outside world or others. So I am constantly filling my heart with little things like a beautiful day, animals playing, the ocean and so on. I give thanks for my accomplishments and I am very grateful for my life. I like to meditate everyday to connect with my inner being. I noticed that this attitude makes me happy most of the time, and on the down moments I cry, pray, and watch funny videos to bring the energy up again. I make myself happy, and when someone else or something else makes me happy is a blessed bonus
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started making jewelry when I was 18 years old back in Brazil. I always loved to mix different types of media to create pieces different and one if a Kind. I bring my style to whatever is trendy at the moment and I think that combination is what attract my customers. I stand out from the everyday styles.
I am also commit to make beautiful, good quality, and affordable jewelry.
I love making them, when I sit down I can make over 20 pieces in a blink of the eye, so I price fair so people can buy more and I can go back to make sooner.
Another factor is doing what you love, the energy is in my pieces, I always send love, confidence, happiness to my pieces after I make them. I tell them to give joy to the ones that wear them. It works
I guess that is what brought me here today, creativity and love for what I do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wow, only one week? lol. California is beautiful and I have a places in my phone because my family and friends do come often.
I like to take them to see the ocean up & down PCH, from San Diego to Santa Barbara.
My new favorite is taking Amtrak from Irvine to San Diego, it is a beautiful view.
Renting a boat and riding Newport Bay is another cool end of the day thing to do.
In LA would be Santa Monica, Venice Beach and Rodeo Drive.
Restaurants are the Mexican ones that have Mariachi playing, and a nice American hamburger place.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My big help were my husband and my mom. Since the beginning in 2013 both of them were right next to me. My mom is my accountant, she makes my gift bags, and helps with everything that I need. Hubby goes to the events with me, makes bracelets, and paid the bills by himself in the beginning.
I am always reading motivational books, and watching videos about overcoming life’s obstacles.
But the most important it is my connection with God/the universe or whatever you want to call. It is like a power, I know He got my back, and it is always guiding me, so I just sit and enjoy the ride
