We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Aghas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Probably my favorite question….! Just because I think the realest answer to this is simply right in front of me. Just flip it around….when I feel I want to give up I just know that I need to keep going. That no matter what or why I feel like I want to give up is just a test and you can’t let your emotions get the best of you. No matter why you are feeling like that. Especially if you feel you aren’t good enough with whatever it is you’re doing. I’m guilty as charged of that, but I really believe in pushing harder and working harder when I feel that way. Mostly because when you are at that lowest point of almost giving up…and you get the strength to push through it! And keep going! That’s when you’re tested and that’s when you will grow and that’s when you will make progress and get rid of all the negativity and tap into a stronger mindset. Which will always help anything grow. This is something you can use for any aspect of life. Work, the gym, your hobby, you’re life! No matter what you gotta realize you are you and you are unique for the simple fact that you are YOU! And YOU have the power to push through anything. So I’ll end this on a quote “MOST OF THE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE KEPT ON TRYING WHEN THERE SEEMED TO BE NO HOPE AT ALL” – Dale Carnegie

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Photography. I mean where can I start. I’ve been in love with photography for a long time….and the coolest thing about it is anyone can be a photographer. I love taking pictures of everything. Literally.. Lanscape, portraits, families, cars. I don’t like to limit myself on what I can do with my eye and camera. Everyone has a different eye for things and a way of doing things. People have different perspectives while taking photos and even after, during post processing (editing). You can look at a photo someone took and catch a whole mood from it. Every picture can convey a different emotion and that’s what makes it art. It’s a good way to express yourself. Believe me or not. It’s a great stress reliever too! I got to where I am today by simply never stopping. No matter what. When I feel bored of taking certain photos, I try something new and it always helps. I’m nowhere near where I want to be with it yet, but I think that’s the point for me. I never want to be perfect with this, because there is always room for improvement or different types of photography to try out and get into. I don’t care what anyone says. Even if it’s your passion, sometimes you do get that lazy, don’t care, bored feeling. Look back into why you do it and think of all the people you made smile, happy, all the people you take photos of and get to meet. It’s one of the greatest feelings. It’s not easy to take photos and learn how to edit and put a lot of money into it. But it is something you can really fall in love with. I mean if you think about it. Everyone in the world is a photographer! Starting with every phone device and picture you’ve ever taken and these days I guarantee you edit it! Whether you want to do it for fun, start a business. When it feels tough for me. I just look back at why I did it and why it was worth it and the impact I can make. I want the world to know to just be yourself and express yourself freely and work hard with anything you want to pursue! Im not where I want to be, but I know im heading that direction.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’m from the desert of Las Vegas. When I came to San Diego for the first time and moved out here. I was mind blown. Just how green and beautiful it was. How vibrant it was. Kind of warms the heart. Makes you really fall in love with nature and the city. With that being said. A nice hike to start, take them to cowles mountain, everyone knows cowles in San Diego. Hike up and let them see how beautiful this place is from the top. Why so many people over pay for rent to live here lol we pay for the weather and the beauty really lol of course I would have to take them out to eat at a sushi spot! Coming from the desert I never liked sushi. But San Diego did it for me. I’m in love with sushi lol Then of course tour downtown especially at night. Take some photos! Stop at a bar and have a few drinks. Talk about life. Have fun! That’s what it’s all about.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout my family. Especially my mom, dad and stepmom for always telling me I can do anything I put my mind too. Giving me a lot of freedom as a kid to be myself and encourage me to be myself and work hard. My little brother Brendan for being such a awesome young adult and expressing himself in such a positive manner. I look up to him! Of course a shoutout to all my good friends. Who are doing so well in life because they have great mindsets and values. Been through so much but yet prove that it doesn’t mean you can’t do what you put your mind to! I would like to thank my girlfriend for always having my back. In any situation and understanding me so well. I would like to shout out my photography page on Instagram @the_digital_daze ! Haven’t gotten completely started up yet but I’ve been working to make that happen and been putting a lot of time into it. Because I simply love doing it! Photos spread many emotions and I absolutely love it. Last but not least I’d like to thank anyone who took to the time to read this! I hope in some way this brings some positivity to someone. Even if it’s just one person!
