Meet Travis Borkenhagen | Corporate Event Photographers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Borkenhagen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Travis, how does your business help the community?
As a Los Angeles corporate event photography and videography company, Elevation Event Photography gives businesses across the LA area a way to document and amplify the work they’re doing — whether that’s a company milestone, a product launch, or a community-focused event. Great photography extends the reach of those moments well beyond the room. For organizations in Los Angeles doing meaningful work, we make sure their story gets seen.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Elevation Event Photography was built on a simple premise: corporate events deserve the same level of intentional, high quality photography that weddings get. Most companies either skip documentation entirely or settle for whatever their in-house team can pull off on a phone. We fill that gap with a professional crew, proper gear, and a process that’s been refined over 16 years in the photography business.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Building a client base from scratch in a saturated market means proving yourself over and over again before the referrals start coming. The lesson that stuck is that consistency beats talent every time. Showing up prepared, delivering on time, and making the experience easy for the client is what actually builds a business.
Elevation is now expanding into the Los Angeles market, bringing that same approach to LA corporate events, conferences, trade shows, and branded content work. What sets us apart is the experience behind the lens and a production standard that most event photographers in Los Angeles simply don’t match.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you have a week in Los Angeles, you’re going to eat well whether you try or not.
Start in Venice Beach. Walk Abbot Kinney, grab coffee at Gjusta, and spend a morning on the boardwalk. It never gets old.
For food, you have to hit Grand Central Market downtown. It covers everything from classic LA street food to some of the best breakfast options in the city. Republique on La Brea is worth a dinner reservation if you can get one.
Griffith Park and the Observatory are mandatory. The view of the LA skyline from up there is one of those things that actually lives up to the hype.
For drinks and a good scene, the Arts District has taken over as the spot. Bavel is always packed for a reason, and there are enough rooftop bars in that area to fill a few nights easily.
If your friend is into culture, LACMA and The Broad in downtown Los Angeles are both worth a half day each.
Malibu is worth one full day no matter what. PCH with the windows down, lunch at Nobu Malibu, and an afternoon at El Matador Beach.
Honestly Los Angeles rewards people who just drive around and stay curious. Every neighborhood has something worth finding.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The clients who took a chance on us early — before the portfolio was what it is today — deserve the most credit. Every business that trusted us to show up and deliver gave us the foundation to grow. Now that we’re bringing Elevation Event Photography to the Los Angeles market, that same principle applies: the LA business community itself is the shoutout. It’s a market full of companies doing ambitious things, and we’re here to document it.
