We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony and Leila Savage and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tony and Leila, how do you think about risk?
Risk is best taken when well calculated and thought out.
We’ve taken risks by investing in real estate outside of California. We ran the numbers, thought of the worst and best case scenarios, and had an exit strategy. Investing in rentals allowed us to have the financial security to then risk starting our own business as a Real Estate Brokerage. Taking one risk can help build the foundation for more risks. We have found that when we risk thoughtfully, the reward is great!
If you want to work for yourself, you have to take the leap and be all in. At the end of the day, you are not relying on anyone but yourself. For us that is incredibly motivating, freeing, creative, and challenging!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We have had success, because we always put our client’s best interest above all else. That’s what we’re about.
Buying or selling a home is a milestone in many of our client’s lives. We want to make sure we give them the best support and service along the way. We are very proud of this.
There are a number of legal documents in a transaction, multiple stages of negotiations, many details to be arranged, inspections, and the list goes on. We value transparency throughout the entire process.
Savage Realty is owned by wife and husband team, Leila and Tony Savage. Tony formerly played in the NFL for the Chargers. We have two boys who just graduated from college! We take pride in being a small, locally owned business in San Diego!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Tony’s father, John, was a major influence when it came to taking risks in real estate. From a young age, he watched his father invest to build a legacy for his family.
