We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina Tatum and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tina, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Elevate”. I want to elevate my career as well as myself. Giving opportunities and support to others makes me feel successful.
What should our readers know about your business?
Being a mentor for 20 years has taught me patience, loyalty, trust, and strength. I think what has set me apart is that I was able to build my business in a way that I have helped others as well as myself. Building a better business together. I have always felt you should do your best to find value in the client as well as the customer. Everyone wins if you set yourself up to protect both. If you put in the time and effort it will pay off. Life isn’t easy and you have to take one day at a time. Each person and contract is different and it is our job to find out what is best for both parties involved. I am currently finishing Real Estate School, and I am looking forward to the next journey. I plan to work with my models and agency to build their portfolios as well as bringing a new spin on advertising for my clients listing their homes.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When you visit Idaho I would recommend staying a full week so you can spend at least 3 days in Sun Valley or McCall. Just a quick 2.5 hour drive from the city. The mountains are gorgeous and there is so much to see. Unlimited Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Floating the Payette or the Lake life. Red Fish Lake and the Payette Lake are both incredible. In Boise I recommend you go to Barbacoa and Chandlers for fine dining. Both are delicious and local. If you enjoy a night with some entertainment they have dual piano night on Fridays at The Brickyard. Also this is a great local restaurant. You can take the trolley and learn some history or bike the Boise Greenbelt. There are tons of hiking in the foothills and a ski resort 20 mins from the city. If you are a morning person you can start hour day right with Rise & Grind. A local healthy option downtown. They offer vegan shakes as well. Idaho has several Wineries in the city and out of the city. If you enjoy a night out The Mode Lounge or Diablo and Sons are great options. They are close to the bars downtown.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have always loved working and enjoyed being an entrepreneur. My father owned a construction company and has been a Realtor in Idaho for most of my life. His integrity and character has made him one of the top producing realtors in the state. His expertise is in commercial Real Estate and Development. He and my mother have encouraged me to chase my dreams and to do what makes me happy. I am blessed to have a supportive family who encourage and allow me to build my career.
