We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina Buchanan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tina, alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Visionary Care, we believe that everyone deserves to age with dignity and integrity. Our elders are the largest growing population and they need support in order to have the best quality of life possible. When we can keep our elders from falling through the cracks and put them at the for front, our communities benefit. Families are happier and have peace of mind and everyone wins. As far as Impacting the world, the more elders we serve, the bigger our impact. That is why we are expanding to other states, Nashville Tennessee here we come.
What should our readers know about your business?
We have grown tremendously over the past three years. Visionary Care started out serving a few local elders and now we have served hundreds of elders in San Diego. What we are most proud of is that a portion of all sales go towards VETS FOR ELDERS, a San Diego 501c3 organization that I co founded back in 2018. This organization assists elders for free. Talk about impact !!! It wasn’t easy to get where we are today but it was worth it. Hard work and staying true to our vision has propelled us forward. I have learned that I can do anything I put my mind too. I’ve also learned that if you want to have a different outcome in life, you have to start doing something new and get rid of old ways of thinking and doing. Visionary Care is built on 5 core values. Integrity, family, service to others, empathy and life long learning and this is ingrained in everything we do every day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
San Diego is the best city. In my spare time, I head to the beach or the local mountains for a good hike. We have some of the best seafood spots, I love all kinds of seafood.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Thank you to my parents, Vanessa Simpkins and Wide Awake Business for making my vision come to reality and for pushing me to become a better version of myself.
