Hi Stephen, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The Hyangle Art Gallery helps the community by creating a safe and inspiring space for art, wellness, and connection. My gallery hosts yoga sessions, workshops, fundraisers, brunches, and live events while also giving local artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives a place to collaborate and grow. The artwork and atmosphere elevate every event, and the community continues to show love and appreciation for the space we’ve built together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional abstract painter and the founder of The Hyangle Art Gallery in downtown San Diego. What sets me apart is that I’ve built more than just an art career, I’ve created a community space centered around healing, creativity, and connection. Through my artwork, exhibitions, and art therapy workshops, I use abstract painting to help people reflect, express themselves, and feel inspired.

My journey wasn’t easy. I built my brand independently through consistency, sacrifice, and believing in my vision even when resources were limited. Over the years I’ve learned that authenticity, discipline, and community matter more than trends.

I want people to know that The Hyangle is about “Healing from a Higher Angle.” My goal is to continue elevating San Diego’s art scene while creating opportunities for artists, entrepreneurs, and the community to come together through art and culture.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
