We had the good fortune of connecting with Red and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Red, what principle do you value most?
The self-made principle I live by is simply this:

LIVE intentionally, LOVE fearlessly, and leave a valuable LEGACY….. LIVE, LOVE, LEGACY.

Living intentionally means living your life ON purpose, in order to align WITH your purpose. Intentional living is feeling empowered to take action that make your dreams a reality, and to experience the fulfilling and abundant life you were promised.

Loving fearlessly is the act of relinquishing past pain and letting your guard down in order to love and be loved. We were created for connection. When we are brave enough to love ourselves and others with complete vulnerability, humility, and transparency, we connect in ways that change how we experience the world around us.

Ultimately, life is a “relay race.” Our responsibility while we have the “baton” is to run well in order to set the next runner(s) up for the win. Leaving a valuable legacy means leaving your mark on the world and making a contribution to future generations. Let them know and feel that YOU WERE HERE.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a San Diego based model, mentor, entrepreneur, and overall creative who loves to inspire.

My life’s mission is to help people LIVE intentionally, LOVE fearlessly, and leave a valuable LEGACY through my creative platforms and personal experience.

As a single mother of 5 and survivor of abuse, poverty, loss, and major illness, I am living proof that we are able to overcome anything and live the abundant life that we were promised.

I am a firm believer in the power of positive affirmation and therefore created “Red Talk,” a series of personal quotes and short videos that challenge, encourage, and inspire our way of thinking, speaking, and living. By 2022, the goal is to make this a podcast where myself and guests will engage in real, transparent conversation that will result in unity, understanding, laughter, and most importantly…..change. We are all on this journey together.

In addition to “Red Talk,” I have an online store featuring uplifting, fun, and positive merch/apparel….of which my favorite collection is the “re-brand collection.” This series of tees, sweatshirts, mugs, etc are on a mission to help create a new identity for the once tainted images of love, marriage, integrity, and family. This merch represents the VIBE that they really are in a stylish and unique way.

Alongside my mentoring, podcast, and online store, I am in the process of completing two books. One documents the life lessons I’ve learned throughout my 30+ years and the other is a book of affirmations with space to journal.

My other passions include music, media design, event planning, and modeling. ALL of which I am blessed enough to work consistently enough to make a living.

Ultimately, I just love to create across the board, with the purpose of provoking joy and inspiration.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The beautiful thing about San Diego is that you can feel like you are somewhere completely different within a matter of a few miles.

You can enjoy the Hispanic culture of Old Town, the amazing architecture and history of Balboa Park, the charming neighborhoods of Coronado, the hustle and energy of Downtown/Hillcrest, and the laidback vibes of any of our several beautiful beaches. If you want snow or to be completely surrounded by nature, we aren’t too far from that either.

I am a sucker for a good museum, amusement park, or the zoo. I also really enjoy discovering new and unique restaurants/bars. So far, I have found some of my favorite spots in the Little Italy and City Heights areas:

Harumama Noodle Bar

Queenstown Public House

Morning Glory

Cloak & Petal

Salt & Straw

……just to name a couple.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without God first and foremost. I am also thankful for my friends, family, and followers (both locally and around the world) that support, encourage, and inspire me. Finally, I shoutout MYSELF! I thank me for never giving up and pushing every day to be a better version of myself than the day before. Go girl!
