We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachelle Krelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachelle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When it came to me starting my own business I always had the ambition to do it, however knew it was always going to be a struggle for me to get started and be successful. I am diagnosed Epileptic, and a single mother so there were many hurdles in my way each day in the way of me reaching my goal. I knew from the very beginning that I only needed one thing; and that was a passion and love for the industry. Being a single mother all you want is a happy place to raise your kids. Nothing makes me happier than being able to offer that luxury and over all ability of homeownership to others just like me.
What should our readers know about your business?
When it comes to my business I am very active on social media, on multiple plat forms and have various contacts from all over. I am also very active in the community with our South County Chamber and in Leadership Class 3. I wouldn’t say I am the “traditional agent” however I use a lot of the traditions of the industry with a modified twist. It was not easy to get to where I am at today business wise. I am epileptic and in the past was made to believe that I could not be successful due to lack of a drivers license and seizures overall. I had to reevaluate how I could make this even a possibility for myself. I asked lots of questions and did a ton of research on my own to figure out what other agents do and how it could be modified for myself. I have learned that people are willing to help, and offer support when you need it; and really that anything is possible with todays accessibility to technology. I want everyone to know that its the passion that I have for homeownership that dives me. I am dedicated to this industry because I want nothing more than the same thing for myself and family. A happy home of my own.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Me and my best friend would start our morning at Lil Bits Cafe in Grover Beach, biscuits and gravy and orange juice. After that we would go to the Oceano dune ramp walk the Beach to downtown Pismo Beach grab some salt water taffy and start to head back, stop at Fins for happy hour and some music. The next day we would head to Paso Robles for some wine tasting, my favorite winery is Paso Port. buy a bottle of Havana and Walnut liquor to go. Grabbing sandwiches from high street deli in San Luis Obispo for much. On our way home Madonna Inn steakhouse for dinner; a rib eye and pink champagne cake for dessert. The next day stop at Banner Coffee for Iced Coffee and bacon/date scones in the morning. Heading up to Pismo Preserve for a day of hiking. Then head to Sycamore Springs to soak in the hot tubs. After, stopping at Adas Fish House in Pismo Beach for some chowder. Ending the night at the melodrama in Oceano with some popcorn during the show. Spending the next afternoon in the Village of Arroyo Grande, watching the locals and enjoying the roosters. Mason Bar is for lunch. Dinner is everything we got from farmers market. Solvang is our next day adventure, enjoying the ambiance of the heritage. stopping in Buellton at Split Pea Andersons for split pea soup and sandwiches.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The one person I want to shout out is Kim Renshaw. She is our team lead here on the Central Coast with EXP Realty. I was one of the first agents on the Central Coast that she was willing to have join her team and work with in person. We share a mutual interest in the way we wanted to market our industry and our career; and that mutual interest in video/social media marketing is what first brought us together. She has been an amazing supporter and person of contact ever since.
