We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Sangiolo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I feel that we provide High Quality Fine Art Images that are affordable for most of our customers. Our Fine Art Images are very unique and most of our customers are repeat customers that continue to follow us and add more of our images as time goes on. We provide in-home or business consults where we bring samples of our Art Work to their home or business. This allows them to see how our images work in the space that they are planning on displaying them in. I feel that we go the extra mile for our Customers and make the process of purchasing our Art Work for that special space and enjoyable one.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We started our business with the thought that we would sell our images or local Farmers Markets. Thinking that most of our sales would be from tourists that were in town. To our surprise most of our sales are from Local Customers that want our Fine Art Images for their home, office or place of business. They want local images from a local artist and they have been drawn to my style of work. We have built up a pretty large gallery over the years with many special images. Dedication to monitoring the weather and the seasons that allows me to capture that Epic Sunset, Sunrise, Moonset or Wave images. It’s a tough business filled with many Fine Photographers. It requires dedication and long hours spent capturing and post processing these images along with spending money on the latest equipment to produce the best product. I feel that my unique style and vision has truly set us apart from most.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start off with a La Jolla coastal cruise to give them a little glimpse of where we live and why we live here. Visit some of our favorite local eateries like El Pecador, El Ranchero, Wheat & Water or dinner and drinks at Dukes. Mornings would start off with a fine breakfast at Harry’s Coffee shop. Head down to the Iconic Windansea Shack for the Nightly Sunset. We would spend some time talking about the good old days with some cold refreshments sitting around the fire pit in the backyard.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Wife, Family and close friends that really pushed me to take the final step in marketing my Art Work. Their love, support and encouragement really created Sangiolo Images. The Team at the La Jolla Open Air Market for providing a perfect venue to display or Art Work. My Valued Customers deserve much of the credit with the love and support they have shown us.
