We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Christina Sarno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia, how does your business help the community?
Consumerism and technology have really picked up speed in the last decade. At Firewave Wellness we help people adapt and organize an achievable natural lifestyle that makes them happier and healthier. There’s so much access to information these days, it can be difficult to know what will work for your unique circumstances. We believe in advocacy, the body basics we cover in our events and programs — equip your mind and fuel your body — can improve many situations. As we continue to grow we hope this impactful education around health, vitality, and personal empowerment ripples to serve the greater good around the world.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We help leaders equip their minds and fuel their bodies for lasting wellness. I’m most excited to broaden our reach to men and women and to finally curate live events for diverse communities 2021-2022. Launching a digital platform, creating offers with an impact, and focusing on what actually works for each client’s unique situation took a level of effort and intimacy I’ve never experienced in other business ventures. Right now, it’s really special to work 1:1 and context the coaching personally, this way Well Fed Warriors in our community can transform the information and take it into their unique professional life and see more greatness in their daily efforts. I want the world to know growing in your personal development using food and health habits is fun and rewarding, you’re already nourishing your body every day and personalized support really increases results long term.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
San Diego is a great destination all year long. Come and visit in fall and winter to avoid crowds, in 7 days you can: – Adventure the coastline and cliffs of Sunset Cliffs National Park feeling like you’re on the edge of the world (you are!) – Eat great whole food, farm to table meals in many of the neighborhoods; North Park, Gaslamp, Encinitas, Solana Beach – Walk Balboa Park and the international cottages, stopping for a glass of vino at Panama 66 before heading into the aerospace museum – Try Korean BBQ or Shabu Shabu on Convoy Street – Hang out on the boardwalk and go from North Pacific Beach to South Mission Beach on a bike or skates. – Rent a kayak or paddleboard and adventure La Jolla Cove natural underwater forrest.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the endless support of my partner, Eric Loya. After being dedicated to entrepreneurship for over 5 years, we’ve seen a lot of failures and learned the essentials like pivoting. His relentless advice and support keeps me focused on the impact I create for others. As we get closer to our dream life, inspiring the world for self-made freedom, we continue to learn and challenge each other so we can communicate better and serve more people. This shout-out is in recognition to anybody helping somebody overcome and continue to persevere toward their dream…we couldn’t do it without your hope in our vision.
