We had the good fortune of connecting with Lunide Adeeko and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lunide, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
You know, I am a maximizer by nature. A maximizer is an individual who consistently seeks the optimal outcome for any endeavor. As a maximizer I have the tendency to be a perfectionist both with my decision-making processes & my general approach to life – I strive to get the very best out of every decision, everyone, and every venture I partake. My goal is always to achieve the best possible outcome.
Being a podcast host has allowed me to learn from successful entrepreneurs – due to this I get requests to help young new entrepreneurs build their business, go from idea to launch. Even help them build podcasts too. So when I take on a new client, I aim to bring out the best not only in my client but in the business development process to ensure they are both successful! I have a team of 10 and I push them daily to their best potential. We grow together!
I have been able to accomplish as much in such a short time because of this tendency but also because I have hyperfocus. I cannot multitask. I pick one thing to work on and pursue it relentlessly until it is complete. In the last two years of being in business, we have a well-known podcast, a morning routine app, online courses, a thriving business development program and now we have a new Smart iMirror to help entrepreneurs stay organized and more productive – while reading daily affirmations right from their mirrors. It’s Not Just a Smart Mirror, it’s a Smart Lifestyle! We are very excited to bring this to market and to our beloved audience of successful entrepreneurs.
It’s been such a blessing to experience these huge quantum leaps and growth!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It’s amazing to see my business, my “baby” grow. I am genuinely happy and blessed!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city is Balboa Park – It is ever-changing. Always amazing. It is where culture, science, and nature collide. It was here, my husband and I got married back in October 2020. Balboa Park is home to more than 16 museums, multiple performing arts venues, so much urban culture. In addition to open space areas, natural vegetation zones, green belts, gardens, and walking paths, it contains several theaters and the very famous San Diego Zoo! You’ve got to see it for yourself!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Back in 2009, I had just gotten laid off from the only corporate job I had since graduating college. Needless to say, I was not happy there. There was pressure to work on weekends and the work was not enjoyable. It was not fulfilling. I was laid-off due to downsizing. I was lost. I know deep down I did not want to go back to a corporate job, ever! So I went out to recruit my first mentor. I found him at church. I met with him every week to help me learn about business and to help put my business plan together. I learned so much in that first year that I started to believe that I can actually start my own business. I was hooked. Over the last 13 years, I have had over 7 business mentors who have shaped me into the intelligent, strong, beautiful business-savvy woman I am today! To them, I am forever grateful!!!
