Hi Elijah, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is an unwavering focus on patient care and the overall patient experience. Hair restoration is a very personal decision, and many patients reach out feeling vulnerable or uncertain, so our responsibility goes well beyond the technical procedure itself. We guide patients through every step of the process, beginning with a detailed pre-treatment consultation where we carefully design the hairline and review expectations for the following day. On treatment day, we aim to create an environment that feels calm and supportive—even down to small details like providing a lunch of the patient’s choice and transportation to and from the clinic. We see you the next day for your post-op appointment and then our team remains readily accessible to answer questions and guide you through recovery. We send out detailed daily text message reminders of post operative care for optimal results and healing. That level of continuity and support helps patients feel informed, cared for, and confident throughout their entire hair restoration journey.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
SDhairMD was created out of necessity for a better approach to hair restoration. When I personally experienced the debilitating effects of hair loss, it raised countless questions about the underlying causes and available treatment options. I studied everything I could find on the topic and when it came time to choose a hair transplant clinic I found that trust and ethical practices were often lacking in the industry. Many clinics operated more like factories, prioritizing the number of patients over providing optimal, personalized care. I saw friends of mine sold a big promise to justify a big invoice, only to be left with large scars, damaged follicles, and patchy growth. We want better for people. I set out to create an environment where patients can trust the clinic and the process, ensuring that their procedures were performed with precision and care. Transparency, education, attentiveness, and thoroughness are cornerstones of our approach. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our patients return for follow-ups, beaming with appreciation and a new level of self-confidence. That’s what it’s all about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I commit the majority of my waking hours to my work, so what I truly love and would recommend about San Diego are the simple pleasures. There’s no better way to start the day than jogging the waterfront all the way to the aircraft carriers. When I have the opportunity to soak in the San Diego weather, Mission bay is where I like to go- it’s a little more peaceful than other beaches, while fiesta island is also a favorite since I can bring my dog along. Barefoot Bar and Grill has the relaxed atmosphere and simple, yet delicious, food that would make even a tourist feel at home. A little further out, but well worth the drive, is Cleveland National Forest, which offers excellent hiking trails and a nearby restaurant that serves the best chili.
