We had the good fortune of connecting with Luci Lampe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luci, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As I began writing and performing music again, I had the opportunity to live out what I’d been coaching others on, in a whole new way, expressing myself boldly and freely, particularly in the expression of my sexuality and womanhood. After some time of receiving messages from many women seeking support to work through their beliefs around sexuality, I began creating brief programs in a safe space for women to explore more. Before long, the PSSY PWRD brand was created and along with it, the YouTube channel and current programs.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It has been a wild ride and quite the journey so far, especially with the pivots throughout the Covid lockdowns. Long before, though, one of the biggest challenges that led me to this kind of healing and integration work was the 2.5-year period of depression and disability my husband experienced. During that time, I also developed an auto immune disorder that caused me to feel like I was miserably trapped in a body that was constantly attacking itself. The challenges we’ve faced as a couple and as a family have forged the woman I today and helped me discover the tools, resources, and healing modalities that I use in my work today.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooh! Fun week! I’d take them to Sunset Cliffs at low tide, out to the La Jolla cove (and, if they’re comfortable enough to do so, out to Black‘s Beach for a freeing experience!), paddle boarding in mission bay, put for a boat ride in the San Diego bay, to the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and the OB farmers market.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes! My husband, Ryan, for navigating this journey with me and doing his own inner work.
