We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Rena and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Logan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I grew up with a single mom who was the Queen of Affirmations. Her voice kept me encouraged and it was my qualifier. In 2014, I lost her to Stage 4 Breast Cancer. It was the first time I learn how to qualify & encourage myself. Losing her forced me to figure out who the heck I was. Consequently, I merged her love of soul formations & soulkare and The SoulKation Brand was born.
What should our readers know about your business?
Business: The SoulKation Brand is all about helping women answer three questions: Who am I? Why was I placed here on earth? What should I do now to fulfill my purpose? At our annual August SoulKaiton Retreat, we work on how to reject brokenness, self-doubt and adopt consistent self-love & self-acceptance. Before they leave the event, the women are given simple practices on how to keep insecurities from blocking them from fulfilling their purpose. Challenges: Challenges are very present and they show up when you least expect them, but what has kept me going is God and a strong soul-kare routine (which is reading, praying, meditating, visualizing and working out). My new thing is asking for help, (which takes courage), so I courageously ask for help now. Career: Throughout my notable career, my professional background has been supporting our troops through the Department of Defense. I am a former professional of the United States Army Materiel Command, Army Contracting Command and United States Committee on Homeland Security supporting Congressman Bennie Thompson.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my mother. She is the fuel to my fire and why I give the Soulkation Brand all that I have. She was a single mom of 3, with two jobs as a middle school teacher and after-school care teacher for toddlers. She never complained and she never took off from work. She gave her all to us. The way she loved, served, and sacrificed is my daily inspiration. So to the woman I pray I am making proud, Pocahontas, I love you.
