We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendall Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendall, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is scary. Risk is very uncomfortable. But risk can also be very rewarding. I believe that taking risks gives you the confidence to trust yourself when making hard decisions. Because when you prove to yourself over and over that you can handle hard things, hard decisions become a little easier to make every time. I’ve taken risks when leaving my 9-5, when starting my own business, when we moved my family across the country (twice) with no jobs and no place of our own to live, and when hiring my first business coach. Every single risk I’ve taken, although scary at the time, has led me to something better each time. I trust myself now that if something feels scary or difficult, I know it will lead me to massive growth and transformation. Everything worth doing starts with being scared.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Money Mindset Coach helping women transform the way they relate to money so they can reach their big money goals – whether that’s paying off debt, building their savings, or growing their income. When working with my clients, I combine strategy and mindset to completely break down any barriers in the way of hitting their goals. I am most proud of the accomplishments I’ve witnessed from my past and current clients. From buying houses and starting businesses to paying off huge amounts of debt in a fraction of the time they thought possible, my clients wins amaze me every single day. It’s the biggest honor to have a front-row seat to their success.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Aw how fun!! Day 1: Spend the day at Carlsbad State Beach and end the night in Carlsbad Village with dinner at The Compass and bar hoping. Day 2: Hike at Torrey Pines State Park Day 3: Shopping in Encinitas with lunch at Fish Shop on South Coast Hwy 101 Day 4-5: Camping and hiking at Palomar Mountain Day 6-7: More beach + breweries in Oceanside and Orfila Winery in Escondido
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Mark. He’s always on board with my crazy ideas and shows me the love and support that I sometimes forget to show myself. At times when I haven’t believed in myself or lacked confidence to take the next step, he’s been there to remind me why I’m doing this. He’s the reason I keep going and the reason why I won’t quit <3
