We had the good fortune of connecting with Janet Flores Pavlovich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janet, how do you define success?
Success is having time to do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whom you want.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our cassava flour tortillas are handmade in small batches using authentic techniques from Sonora, Mexico. Our tortillas are a proof that you can have it all; clean label, flavor, texture and tradition. A tribute to the Tortilla. We got here thanks to all the effort and sacrifices that our team have made. We all believe in the brand and we are very passionate about it, enjoying every part of the process. Also thanks to our customers; we are very focus on serving and giving our best to them. Lots of challenges. Shipping have been one of the biggest. It has been a non-stop learning process. I’ve learned that you have to stay laser focus on your goal but with process flexibility. I am very proud and grateful that our cassava flour tortilla represents a part of my Sonoran roots with California love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Every part of San Diego, I am the biggest fan of this City. Lets say… Little Italy and North Park for dinner and drinks. Cowless Mountain, Mission Trails, Torrey Pines Reserve and Peñasquitos for hiking and trail running. Moonlight Beach for a day at the beach. But really, any beach is perfect. S Pacific Coast Hwy 101 for road biking. Del Mar, Solana, Cardiff, Encinitas, Leucadia, Carlsbad, etc. Balboa Park, Coronado, Liberty Station, Seaport Village and La Jolla Cove for a nice day walk or picnic. Old Town for a little Mexican tour. Sunset Cliffs for beautiful sunsets. Farmers Markets to enjoy local products and produce. Roller skating from Mission Beach to Pacific Beach. Paleo Treats in Normal Heights for the best Paleo desserts. Maxa Mexican Market for healthy mexican snacks. Nectarine Grove for delicious gluten free food and Goodonya for delicious organic food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
