We had the good fortune of connecting with Cobey Mandarino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cobey, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My passion for my work. I’ve been involved in public speaking and performance my entire life and I can’t think of doing anything else. It’s in my DNA now and I love watching my clients succeed.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My experience has taught me that it’s essential to approach each of my clients as an individual with their own set of unique challenges and goals. Public speaking skills can be developed in so many different ways depending on the speaker’s experience and their potential audience. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with such a wide range of professionals, from beginners to well-known public figures, and it’s taught me how to tailor my approach to each client’s specific needs.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d go to Cabrillo National Monument first. I’m a big fan of National Parks and it’s nice to have one that’s just a short drive away. I find the cliffs and the tide pools to be very calming. And when the surfers are out in the water it’s an added bonus.
Time at the beach would definitely be part of the visit. I love walking the boardwalk. It’s one of the best people-watching places on earth.
Dinner and drinks in Little Italy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I consider everyone in my life an influence in one way or another. My friends and family have always been tremendously supportive. I feel extremely fortunate.
