We had the good fortune of connecting with CJ Gilbert and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CJ, can you talk to us about the impact the Covid-19 Crisis has had on your business.
I have seen an absolute boon in business as a result of the crisis. More and more people are realizing that they need to get their business (and life) online and take advantage of the tools and technologies available to help do so. I have the pleasure of translating the “geek speak” to the “normal human” and helping these folks use these tools to improve their business and their efforts online, allowing them to attract more customers, make more sales and improve their efficiency. Not to mention all the mom’s groups, schools, PTA meetings, youth groups, church groups, and more!
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a rare duck — a total geek and computer nerd that loves to work with and talk to people! With no stage fright or fear of speaking in groups, I’m able to share my knowledge and tips on using computers, websites, online tools and resources with those who usually feel intimidated or experience anxiety when it comes to tech talk! We talk in real “normal human” words and topics so no one feels spoken down to or stupid or less than. We’re all just learning together how to use various tools to improve our lives and business efforts!
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
You have to visit the bay and see all the amazing places to hang out, stick your feet in the water, have a picnic, throw a ball around or walk by the water. Then, visit Little Italy and eat at Filippis Pizza Grotto – I recommend the Meatballs, the Ravioli, the Torpedo Sub and the Antipasta Salad! (The pizza is amazing as well, of course!) Do you have longer to stay? Of course make a day of Sea World! The new interactive exhibits are fun for littles and the standard shows and animals are always amazing. Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown San Diego, Coronado Island, Point Loma, OB, PB, La Jolla, where do we stop!!!?
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been so many amazing teachers and mentors, books and guides in my life! I owe everything to those that have gone before me and allowed us to learn from their journey. I work most closely with my speaking coach and teacher, Arvee Robinson. I also closely follow the work of sales master Eric Lofholm. In addition, there are so many excellent books I would recommend, like The E-Myth, Think and Grow Rich, Building your Storybrand, and Profit First come to mind.
