We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Ebba and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alyssa, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I think the most rewarding thing about starting my own business is being able to let my creative mind flow without limits. I can think up something and just make it into reality.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started Ebbalasting Photography (formerly known as aGasparPhotos) in 2018. I got married in 2023 and changed my business name to Ebbalasting Photography. Who would have thought, 6 years later that I would start my second business, Ebbalasting Creations where I make handmade custom products. I am very proud of what I have accomplished in the last 6 years both in my personal and professional life. Though it wasn’t easy, I am happy to know that I have the backing of an army and the support of a village through my husband.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I recently just moved out of state, so everything is still really new and fresh to me. I would suggest to her that we can adventure and learn the town together. In my personal opinion, I love scenic views so places with views for me to photograph and get creative inspirations out of are the places I would enjoy hanging out at.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shoutout to my loving and supportive husband, Shaine. For over 7 years, he has continuously loved me through the ups and downs, my frustrations and stress. And he has supported me non-stop in my passion for art.
