We had the good fortune of connecting with ACT3 Consulting Partners and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi ACT3 Consulting Partners, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
ACT3 Consulting Partners consist of three childhood friends from Pittsburgh, PA, Denele Biggs, Kendra Ross, and Tanika Harris. By 2014, we had all moved back to our hometown and immediately reconnected like we’d never left. One day we realized that by combining our experiences, passions, and talents, we collectively had a lot to offer our community. Between the three of us we had more than 20 years of experience in arts and culture, community development, and technology: ACT3. In 2016, a colleague of ours asked us to help her organization plan an event as a collective and our big idea became a reality!
What should our readers know about your business?
ACT3 Consulting Partners strives to provide our highest quality of service, creative approaches to problem solving and capacity building, and transformational experiences at the intersection of arts and culture, community, and technology. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our favorite places in Pittsburgh include Brunch at Echt Coffeehouse, Highland Park for a walk around the reservoir, Page’s Dairy Mart for a sweet treat, attending a show, festival, or live performance at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater or in the Pittsburgh Cultural District, especially at the August Wilson African American Culture Center, partake in a meal a Casa Brasil, and chill with the cool kids at Boom Concepts or Emerald City,
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our families, friends, and mentors have always encouraged to be our best and to share our talents with the world. We are extremely grateful and blessed to have each of them in our lives.
