“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou While I believe photography serves many purposes, the aspect that pulls on my heart strings the most, is photography’s ability to preserve a moment. The nostalgic capabilities within just one photography are endless. From the location, to the subject within, to the photographer’s choice of framing, camera choice, size and type of display, it all plays a part in the story and experience. Be it, business, marriage, raising children, physical fitness, or any other challenge the world presents, hope in finding something good at the end of any journey has kept me going no matter the circumstances. “The greater the artist, the greater the doubt. Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize.” Robert Hughes I love this quote…I think most artists struggle with confidence, often asking themselves “is this piece, good enough”, “am I a good artist”, “can I create another great piece.” The questions and doubts are endless and if you let them consume you, your creativity is diminished. The quote lets me realize that it’s ok and really, a normal and good process to have a measure of self doubt. Read more>>
