We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Storck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sean, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Romans 5:3-4 “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” The recognition that grit and determination cannot find their formation without the hope that through perseverance there is a win on the other side has been a guiding principle of my life. It has enabled me to see through the mental beat down life seems to give us at every turn to the beauty that is on the other side of suffering. Be it, business, marriage, raising children, physical fitness, or any other challenge the world presents, hope in finding something good at the end of any journey has kept me going no matter the circumstances.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The journey of building a successful financial and tax practice is not easy, especially when you take the unorthodox approach of building a firm from the ground up as an independent financial advisor. What helped us make it through was an unwavering belief that we are following a calling to help others live intentionally. There is a lack of financial education in this age and we believe that ignorance of how the tax and financial world works makes it impossible to achieve the highest and best outcomes. Our primary goal is to partner with our clients in providing education and insight into the strategies which will best achieve their stated objectives over time. First, we act in our clients best interest by being held to a fiduciary standard. Second, we work with our clients and bring in financial technology to model out various behaviors and how those behaviors will either succeed or fail. Third, we make recommendations and assist in the execution of those recommendations to insure that our clients are moving towards their stated goals. Finally. as the world intervenes, it is a dynamic environment we live in after all, we monitor progress and assist in making changes along the way. Living intentionally is hard. Our calling is to work alongside our clients to see through the nonsense and make intentional living a little easier. Stated differently, we want to give them hope that it is possible to achieve what they envision. A little suffering today in the form of saving properly, living within your means, and sticking to a plan leads to beautiful results in the long run.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
San Diego is full of awesome spots to visit and while away the hours. Whenever people come to town we try to get in all of the following spots – – Cabrillo National Monument for the greatest views in town. – A stroll through Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo to see some fun architecture, incredible animals and wonderful landscaping. – Petco Park to get a Padres game and enjoy one of the best ballparks in America. – A nightcap at Seven Grand for a great cocktail and old-timey bar experience. – Lunch at the CrackShack for a great meal and one of the best representations of outdoor eating around. If you are in the best weather destination in the country you have to eat outdoors at least once. – Old Town so that you can see a little slice of what San Diego was like at its founding with a stop in RUST General Store to get some of the best cookies you will ever taste and lunch at Hungry’s for a great burger and fries. – A day spent on the Midway and at the Maritime Museum. We have two of the best maritime museums in the country in the form of the Midway and the Maritime. You can explore everything from an old school sailing ship to an aircraft carrier to a submarine all in one day. Pretty incredible.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
