Meet Tosha Chavez | Intimate Wedding + Elopement Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tosha Chavez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tosha, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Ultimately, it took me years to realize I wanted to be in the wedding industry – I changed my major 4 times in college because my studies felt monotonous and lackluster. I craved a multi-faceted role where I could express my creativity, work for myself, and help couples achieve their goals. Every day is something new as a business owner, especially in the wedding industry. New trends to keep up with, faster software programs, Seo/blogging, booking, taxes, etc… It keeps me on my toes, I’m never bored, and I love seeing how happy my couples are at the end of the night.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am proud of myself for not giving up, for continuing even on the hard days and creating a business I truly love. I am excited about my rebrand and new website about to be released, only one more month!
Some of the lessons I have learned the last few years is to set boundaries, time blocking/management, and prioritizing a work/life balance. As well as, nurture creating relationships with wedding vendors who share the same values and offer great customer service to my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would head to downtown Seattle and the surrounding area then to Leavenworth to spend a few days relaxing. In the Seattle area we would have drinks at a great speakeasy place – Deep Dive, then head to Canlis for dinner and end with a movie at The Emerald Forest in Redmond. For the next day, Bellevue Zip Tour offers a great afternoon full of adrenaline!
In Leavenworth, we would stay at The Post and dine at Mana – the best restaurant in all of Leavenworth.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout Ashlie Smith with Designs by Ashlie Smith and The Oliver! Thank you for the grace you’ve extended me over the years, your advice and friendship. I am so grateful to be able to call you with questions I have, enjoy a drink after a 14 hour wedding day, and to have someone so supportive on my side who knows the struggles and achievements we go through as business owners. You give me a lot of inspiration to keep going and work as hard as I can to be the best me I can be.
