We had the good fortune of connecting with RaeAnne Bowlin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RaeAnne, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Placement + Persistence. It turns out its not just about constantly doing something, its about constantly creating on/for the right platform.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an Artist, (and now) Founder, and curator-I sensed a need for [more] paid opportunities, promotion, and safe creative spaces…The light bulb turned on from there. So I created a career for myself and began investing in Artist/Entrepreneurs alike. It has taken a lot of partnering, emailing, and collaborations for me to get where I am. Although it hasn’t been easy I’ve learned some very very valuable lessons. One of them being, ‘be kind to your mind’. Through way of art I share the lessons I’ve learned; mentally, physically, and spiritually. My art and The Forever S7even prove that I’m HERE, and I’m resilient. Prove that I have faith. The Forever S7even and my Artistry [even though the two are separate at times] they’re proof that I’m still loving, proof that God is still guiding me. Proof that The Forever S7even shares resources with the community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d hit up Da Poetry Lounge for sure. I think the beach is a great place to go to relax, so we’d go there as well. As far as food goes, maybe Duke’s (since its by the beach). I’d also take us to all the touristy places like; Hollywood, Long Beach, Pasadena, and of course-Los Angeles. In my opinion those places are all exciting.
