Meet Douglas Zirbel | North America Sales Representative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Douglas Zirbel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Douglas, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I have always been a self starter, never have had a boss since the age of 26. I believe that If i am going to work, it might as well be for myself. Working for yourself, there is no one to blame for the job not getting done except yourself. When I found out about this brand from Japan called Zerofit and check it out I knew that it was a no brainer. I believe with a bit of hard work and getting the Brand out there is going to be the hardest part, once people get a chance to see and wear it the word will spread. My goal is to reap the same success that is in Japan selling over 11 Million a year in Zerofit products within the next 4-5 years.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It all started from a guy from my country club that knew I was looking for something to do after being retired for 4 years. I was getting bored and needed something to do besides playing golf 4-5 days a week, but didn’t want a job working for someone. He told me about Zerofit from Japan and that they are looking for someone to bring to to North America. After Seeing the product I got very excited about being able to still play golf and showcase this product while playing. Now that I am all in, showcasing Zerofit not only on the golf course I have been targeting other areas of outdoor activities such as Hunting, Fishing, Skiing, Biking, Hiking, Horseback riding etc… No this is not easy starting something from scratch, but if everything goes as plan I will be able to build Zerofit up to a multi-million dollar business here in the USA. Today Zerofit is known as the worlds warmest and most comfortable base layer on the market today.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let’s go Golfing would be where I would start off at, maybe for 1-2 days. Then of course take them to the beach for some long walks enjoying the sunrise or sunsets. Delmar and La Jolla would be a great place to go grab something to eat or drink on the coast. You can always go down to Balboa Park for the day and walk around or even over to Coronado for the day.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Michael Morton from the UK, is directly responsible for getting me starting with bringing Zerofit to North America. He works directly with Mr Koji Higashi in Japan, the owner of Zerofit making sure that everything goes smoothly for us here in the USA.
