Today we’re excited to be connecting with Kat Knecht again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Kat, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am a Wardrobe Stylist based in Oceanside serving the San Diego area. My passion is helping people rediscover their style and wardrobe. I moved from the east coast in 2021 and have been lucky to style and help so many people over the last three plus years. One of my highlights on my journey since moving here was styling a campaign for the FDA down in the heart of San Diego at Balboa Park

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since the last time we talked I have also expanded my offering and services to include commercial work with my best friend and photographer Carrie Anne Kelly. We started a branding studio helping small businesses in our community elevate their imagery. We specialize in creative photo shoots and website work to help individuals such as creatives and small businesses better serve their client. We also occasionally open up our work to those in the community looking for new headshots or fun creative photo shoots for themselves or of their family! This has been such a great expansion of my personal styling work. I love to create and produce photo shoots along with styling the clients.

I’m looking forward to continue to build my personal styling business and expand in 2025 to serve even more clients!

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

Favorite TV Show: Currently Landman

Favorite Band or Artist: The Beatles

Sweet or Savory: Sweet

Mountains or Beach: Beach

Favorite Sport (to watch): Baseball but not big on watching sports

Favorite Sport (to play): Yoga! (If that’s a sport)

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up: I knew I didn’t want to sit at a desk all day and that’s all I remember!

French Fries or Onion Rings: French fries

Chuck Rhodes or Bobby Axelrod:

Favorite Childhood movie: 101 Dalmatians

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
How often and far I traveled. I spent a lot of time in my 20’s traveling across Europe and backpacking Asia. I hear so many people in their later years regretting waiting to travel until they were older. I’m so glad I prioritized this!

I will be proud of how close I am with my family and prioritizing spending time with them. Especially when living on opposite coasts it can be hard to spend time with family. This is something I try to always make happen several times throughout the year.

Going after what I want! I have moved across the country more than once. I like to think I would be proud that I was never afraid to go for what I wanted even if it wasn’t the norm.
