The most important factor in Friends of the Ramona Library’s success is recognition and support of the Ramona Community. The Friends of the Ramona Library (FORL) is a nonprofit public benefit Corporation formed in 1985 to support the Ramona Community Library. We support the Ramona Community Library in encouraging literacy, lifelong learning, and the love of reading throughout our diverse community. We raise funds at our bookstore, the Open Book, by arranging special events, membership dues, and by grant writing. We contributed 1.2 million dollars towards equipping a new branch building. Staying true to my brand and myself is something I think about going into every show. I’ve been given a lot of amazing opportunities however some aren’t on brand of what I am trying to accomplish and I’ve had to turn some things down. People have a right to not poison themselves with toxic skincare products and I want them to have a widely accessible alternative. “If you wouldn’t eat something, don’t put it on your skin.” When I started making soap it was originally just for myself, friends, and family.
