Angelica Medina Clay | Floral Designer

Risk taking has been the co-pilot in my life and career. I believe that the majority of the credit to why I feel I have lived such an exciting life so far has been due to the risks that I have taken. Taking risks has led me to live life on my terms, travel beautiful places, meet my husband, and start a floristry business that is rewarding in so many ways. Read more>>

I think about risk the way some people think about opportunity. They’re basically the same thing, except the word “risk” implies a negative connotation. Taking a chance on something always requires a leap of faith – whether it’s quitting a full-time job to start your own business or opening up an Etsy shop as a side hustle for extra income. This is why I view all risks as opportunities to grow and I approach each of them with the highest level of confidence I can. Read more>>

Taking risks is a tricky business. If things don’t pan out the way you had hoped, you may question whether you made the right decision. But if you never try, you will always question whether you should have taken the risk. I wouldn’t say that I am particularly conservative when it comes to taking risks, but I wouldn’t say that I am a huge risk taker either. And the assessment of risk can vary wildly between our own perception and the perception of an outsider looking in. Read more>>

Shelby Strother | Astrologist and Psychic

When I think about what kinds of risks I have taken in my career, there is a laundry list. I can’t help but think about how I left the entire life back in the East Coast, my friends, and my family and decided to take this venture out here in San Diego during the pandemic. I didn’t work for a year and spent the entire year building my business plan and model for my spiritual business. Read more>>
