We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Rawleigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I love my business and I love the wedding industry, but business itself is what really interests me. The end goal is to have multiple successful brands in various industries. I love concept creation, growing something from nothing, and watching it flourish. With that being said, I have many things I love and am passionate about, so I think I am going to work on training new planners to run the planning and design business while I build new brands and repeat a similar model.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a wedding planning and design business, along with a collection of luxury event rental pieces. I am with my clients every step of the way and my goal is to exceed their dream Pinterest board wedding expectations. Being creative has been a part of me, my entire life. I grew up dancing, performing, and planning school events. Design is my favorite part. Having a blank canvas, a vision, and watching them come together is beyond cool.
I owe a huge part of my success to two different article features which landed me quite a few clients, which spiraled into more referrals and inquires. However, I worked my butt off for years to get here. Those articles may have helped with traction, but everything I have accomplished is a direct result of hard work and never letting up. I worked full time as a researcher, went to school full time to earn my BA in Psychology, worked part time as a dance instructor, trained as a powerlifter, and started/grew my business all at once.
The work and energy that you put into something will determine its success. Without the grind and the faith, you’ll likely remain fairly stagnant.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am based out of North County San Diego, so I would likely be showing people around the Carlsbad/Oceanside areas. I would probably find a day to bring them to the harbor and over to Coronado. Also, the dog beach in Del Mar is live Heaven.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been absolutely instrumental in my success. My dad refurbished my rental furniture, my brothers help put tables together and move rental pieces, and my sister and mom occasionally help with setting up. Without their encouragement and support I wouldn’t be able to pull this all off.
