We had the good fortune of connecting with Sidney Buggs IV and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sidney, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
My family makes me happy. They keep me motivated. My wife is always encouraging me to be myself, be organic, and have confidence in myself to know that I can do this. My daughter keeps me smiling everyday from the joy that she brings to our home. Being able to be around that everyday makes me feel like I can do anything.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Gaming Content Creator. I have always loved creating content for those who might be having a bad day. I’m also a small streamer too, and I live stream on the weekends so people can witness the live reactions from clips. I stand out from others by wearing a robe and durag during the stream, so when you see that combo you think of SidIsBuggin.
Creating content can be very challenging, especially when it comes to gaming. You want the best clips that can grab viewers attention.
One of the lessons that I’ve learned from making content is, you can’t force anything. You have to be you, and be confident about what you capture. When you do that, the right people will gravitate towards your work. I try to post some form of content everyday and have back up content if something goes wrong.
Doing this makes me happy, and I want the world to know that it’s okay to be different. Opinions will come, but who cares what other people think. If it makes you happy and makes you feel good inside, just do it. Don’t be afraid to express yourself.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a homebody! But if I had to choose the place to get something to eat, we’re going to Surf & Soul Spot. They have great seafood and soul food. I’m getting hungry now just talking about them!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
